If something goes wrong Online invigilation (proctoring)

If you have a problem during your exam session, you'll be able to alert and communicate with your invigilator via the chat function provided. They'll help you and instruct you on what to do next.

If you can't resolve your issue using the chat function, your invigilator may speak to you directly. This is why you need working speakers on your device. You'll be able to reply as your microphone will be switched on during the exam.

The invigilator will be able to help you with issues that might come up with the the invigilation software.

For any other technical issue you should contact the Computing Helpdesk.

If you lose connection with your exam session or have an issue that prevents you from submitting your exam, contact your Student Support Team (SST) as soon as you can. It would be useful to prepare yourself for this scenario by writing your SST's phone number somewhere you can easily access it.

If there were unexpected circumstances that negatively affected your exam you can submit a special circumstances form detailing how your performance was impacted.

If you can’t submit your exam you may be able to postpone it to the next available opportunity. Find out more at discretionary postponement.
