Potential employers Environment and Development

OU qualifications are recognised and valued by many professional organisations and employers. Many employers recruit graduates from any discipline. There are also employers who offer the chance to gain valuable experience through internships and other forms of structured work experience or voluntary work.

There are a number of ways you can find potential employers. As an OU student you can:

  • Read employers' profiles and view vacancies on OpportunityHub.
  • Find more information related to your qualification on your Study Home page under the succeed tab, including potential employers and labour market information. Note, these sites are being continually updated, so make sure you check back regularly.
  • Find tips and advice on job seeking in our Jobs and work experience section.

They have got that unique skill set or background that perhaps our standard graduates don't have, they have thought about their career and how they're going to fit that in with the rest of their life as well. That's a very potent blend and already gives them a competitive advantage.
