How your modules and qualifications can help your business goals Becoming an entrepreneur

There are several OU business modules that can help you develop your entrepreneurship skills, four level 2 and 3 modules at undergraduate, and one postgraduate. It doesn't mean you're not qualified or have the skills to start a business if you choose not to study any of these modules, this is a recommended list for those wishing to study entrepreneurship.

Each year the OU hosts the Open Business Creators Fund. This competition provides funding for students with innovative ideas for commercial and social enterprises. You’ll be supported from ideation through to start-up and seeking external investment. Look out for the competition in Careers Express on OpportunityHub or contact RES-Student-Programmes@open.ac.uk for more information

If you want to discuss further how your studies can help you set up your own business and how you can utilise the skills you've learnt, you can request a careers consultation.
