Internships through the Open University Work experience

The Open University (OU) offers exclusive internships for students and graduates. These are tailored to fit the OU’s flexible learning model, allowing you to balance your studies with practical work experience. 

We work with a range of employers to organise both in-person and online internships. There are also opportunities to work at the Open University. All OU exclusive internships are paid.

I could not have wished for a more challenging, invigorating and encouraging experience. Although the internship was virtual, I felt very much part of a team, with a great deal of support. As a result, I gained the confidence to apply for a new role that represents a significant step up in my career, as well as a new direction.
