Mae’r Brifysgol Agored yn un o nifer o brifysgolion sydd wedi’u henwi ym Mesur y Gymraeg (Cymru) 2011. Mae hyn yn golygu y gall unrhyw fyfyrwyr yng Nghymru ddisgwyl derbyn rhai gwasanaethau yn Gymraeg gan y Brifysgol Agored.
Amlinellir y rhain yn yr hyn a elwir yn safonau iaith Gymraeg y Brifysgol Agored
Mae hyn yn golygu y gallwch siarad â’n tîm recriwtio a chefnogi myfyrwyr yn Gymraeg, neu gysylltu â’r brifysgol yn Gymraeg.
Gallwch ddarllen mwy am eich hawliau fel defnyddiwr Cymraeg ar wefan y Brifysgol Agored yng Nghymru.
Er mai Saesneg yw iaith addysgu’r Brifysgol Agored yn bennaf, mae’r safonau hefyd yn golygu y gallwch gyflwyno unrhyw aseiniadau ysgrifenedig yn Gymraeg. Gallwch ddarllen mwy am hyn yn ein polisi Asesiad trwy gyfrwng y Gymraeg.
Mae gan y Brifysgol Agored hefyd weithdrefn benodol ar gyfer cwynion yn ymwneud â safonau’r Gymraeg. Gallwch ddarganfod sut i wneud cwyn yma.
The Open University is one of several universities named in the Welsh Language (Wales) Measure 2011. This means that any students in Wales can expect to receive certain services from the OU in Welsh. These are outlined in what’s called the OU’s Welsh language standards.
This means that you can speak to our student recruitment and support team in Welsh, or contact the university in Welsh.
You can find out more about your rights as a Welsh language user on the OU in Wales website
While the OU’s language of teaching is mostly in English, the standards also mean that you can submit any written assignments in Welsh. You can read more about this in our Assessment through the medium of Welsh policy
The OU also has a specific procedure for complaints to do with the Welsh language standards. You can find out how to make a complaint in the policy, Welsh language standards, dealing with complaints and comments, which is published below.
