The Open University’s mission is to be open to people, places, methods and ideas. Freedom of speech and academic freedom are fundamental to our mission and to the pursuit of knowledge through teaching and research.
The Code of Practice for Freedom of Speech and Academic Freedom sets out the University’s values and expectations in relation to free speech and academic freedom, and information about roles and responsibilities. It also explains how to raise complaints or concerns about actions or behaviours that are perceived to restrict or inhibit free speech or academic freedom.
You can find the Code of Practice for Freedom of Speech and Academic Freedom on Freedom of Speech and Academic Freedom | About The Open University.
