Deferring your Microcredential Policy (2022/2023)
In March 2022, The Open University published the Deferring your Microcredential Policy (2022/2023) for the first time.
This policy sets out:
- how you can get support, when needed, due to personal, unforeseen or uncontrolled circumstances that impact your studies and you need to apply for a deferral
- the procedure that you must undertake, should you wish to defer your Open University microcredential
The changes made:
There have been several significant changes to this policy:
- Inclusion of The Open University’s Commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
- Inclusion of safe space reporting
- Details regarding the potential change in assessment criteria in future course starts
