The Open University will withdraw the Diploma of Higher Education in Engineering (W11) on 31 December 2026. If a student wishes to claim this qualification, they will need to satisfy all necessary academic requirements before this date.
If a student is unable to complete their qualification before the withdrawal date, it may be possible for them to transfer their registration to another qualification depending on the modules they've already studied. Examples of qualifications that students may wish to transfer to include the Foundation Degree in Engineering (X11) or the Diploma of Higher Education (Open) (W34).
