The Open University plans to withdraw the BSc (Honours) Adult Nursing (Apprenticeship) (R41) on 31 December 2025. In order to claim this qualification, students must complete all academic requirements by this new date.
If a student has any concerns about their ability to complete by this new date, and in particular if they need to defer a module, they should seek immediate advice from their Student Support Team.
The BSc (Honours) Adult Nursing (Apprenticeship) (R41) has been superseded by the BSc (Hons) Nursing (Apprenticeship) (R43), which addresses the Future Nurse education standards published by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in 2018. The qualification remains entirely valid in terms of entry to the NMC professional register on successful completion of this degree.
Please talk to your Student Support Team if you need any further information. You can find out how to contact them on Contact the OU.
