Changes to policy and curriculum

Law and Languages qualifications (R56, W87 and T46) - Qualification amendment

In February 2021, the University made some changes to the law curriculum within the following qualifications:

  • BA (Hons) Law and Languages (R56)
  • Diploma of Higher Education in Law and Languages (W87)
  • Certificate of Higher Education in Law and Languages (T46)

The impact upon students will differ depending on where they are in their studies.

The final opportunities to study the current law modules that make up these qualifications will be as follows:

  1. An introduction to law (W101) will be available for the final time in October 2021
  2. Public and criminal law (W203) will be available for the final time in October 2023

To learn more about this change, visit our Changes to Law and Languages qualifications (R56, W87 and T46) page.

Why this is happening

This change has been made because some of the law modules which currently make up this qualification are being replaced to meet the requirements of a new law qualification.
