MSc Computing (Networking) (F66) - Qualification amendment

The Open University will introduce a new named route through the MSc in Computing (F66). From May 2021 students will be able to follow this to receive an MSc in Computing (Networking).

What students need to do

Students who are seeking to enhance their professional and academic profile within the infrastructure and enterprise networking discipline may be interested in this alternative route.

To achieve this specialism, students will need to follow the below study plan:

Stage 1

Complete the modules:

  • Advanced Networking (CCNP Enterprise) (T829) – 60 credits
  • Network Security (T828) – 30 credits

AND

30 credits from the optional modules currently available on the F66. A list of the modules available for students to study is available on ‘Choose your next module’, which can be found on StudentHome.

Stage 2

Research Project (T802)

OR

The MSc professional project (T847) and a further 30 credits from any modules at Stage 3 or above.
