Conditions of Registration 2019/20: Social Work Supplementary Agreement

The Open University has now published the new Policy Document – Conditions of Registration 2019/20 Supplementary Agreement (Social Work). This supersedes the previous document - Conditions of Registration 2018/19 Supplementary Agreement (Social Work). The policy has had some significant policy changes.

This Supplementary Agreement applies to students who have been accepted onto the Open University’s Social Work programme and sets out the additional terms relating to study of a Social Work qualification.

The changes made

1. Reworded content to make it simpler to understand from a student perspective.
2. Restructured content to add Section 6 “Your Studies” to make finding relevant information easier.
3. Further clarification added to wording in paragraphs 3.4-3.6 to make arrangements around banking practice learning and progressing between study levels clearer.
4. Addition of “Caring responsibilities” to the conditions outlined by the Senate where students may be considered for an exceptional extension, in Appendix A.
