Fitness to Practise Procedure (May 2019 update)
In May 2019, The Open University made some changes to our Fitness to Practise Procedure. These changes will apply to all students registered on one of the professional programmes offered by The Open University.
The changes made
- Reference to the Nursing DipHEs in Adult and Mental Health Nursing (qualification codes D67 and D68) removed as these have now been withdrawn
- New qualifications added (qualification codes R41, R42, and X04)
- Job titles have been updated
- A reference to the new “Standards of proficiency” (for nursing associates) has been added to the Code of Practice information
- The “Specific requirements for the programme” section has been revised to incorporate the requirements for nursing associates and to clarify which requirements relate to each qualification
- The references to the “Practice Placement Agreement” generalised to “Agreement” to encompass the other appropriate Agreements
