Conditions of Registration 2018/19

Warning: the content within this page reflects the information available to students in the 2018/19 academic year. As such, this information may no longer be factually accurate.

The Open University has made changes to the Conditions of Registration effective from August 2018. The amendments will affect all students who study undergraduate or taught postgraduate modules that start in the 2018/19 academic year (with start dates between 1 August 2018 and 31 July 2019).

What the changes are

  1. Amendments to reflect changes in data protection legislation.
  2. Reference to home kits removed, as no longer relevant.
  3. Significant changes to headings/structure/numbering formats to make document simpler to read and navigate.
  4. Changed references to “declared” qualifications, to reflect end of old framework except those studied under the Open Programme.
  5. Addition of Sections A7.5, A7.6 and A7.7 to make detail of The Open University’s rights to cancel enrolments explicit in the Conditions of Registration, using content already published in our Academic Regulations.
