Certificate of Higher Education in Social Care (England) (T02) - Qualification withdrawal

The University will withdraw the Certificate of Higher Education in Social Care (England) (T02) on 31 December 2018. It will be replaced by a new Certificate of Higher Education in Social Care (T39), which will be available from October 2018.

The new certificate will comprise the same Stage 1 modules as the current Certificate in Higher Education in Social Care (England), so this is essentially a change in qualification title only.

An introduction to health and social care (K101) will continue to be available in its current form until at least February 2019. Foundations for social work practice (KYJ113) will continue to be available until February 2022. Therefore, students should be able to complete this Certificate of Higher Education before it is withdrawn on 31 December 2020.

Alternatively, should a student wish to transfer to the replacement Certificate of Higher Education in Social Care they will be able to request to do so from October 2018 when the new qualification is launched.

Please talk to your Student Support Team if you need any further information. You can find out how to contact them on Contact the OU.
