Masters of Law (F64) - Qualification withdrawal

The Open University will withdraw the Masters of Law (F64) on 31 December 2023. To claim this qualification, students will need to satisfy all necessary academic requirements before this date.

Students who wish to continue their studies towards this qualification should also keep in mind that a number of compulsory modules towards this qualification will end prior to December 2023:

  • Exploring legal meaning (W820) will start for the final time in November 2020.
  • Business, human rights law and corporate social responsibility (W822) will start for the final time in November 2020.
  • Exploring the boundaries of international law (W821) will start for the final time in May 2021.
  • The law dissertation (W800) will start for the final time in November 2022.

If a student is unable to successfully complete any of these modules, they will be unable to complete their qualification.

Students can still complete the Masters of Laws before it is withdrawn, but should note the final start dates for these compulsory modules and plan their studies accordingly.
