Assessment Handbook (March 2018 update)

The University has made some changes to the Assessment Handbook which is updated regularly. These changes may potentially affect all students.
The changes made
- Section 1.4 – removed information about scores for exams and EMA.
- Section 2.2.1 – added sentence about if you’re required to achieve and OCAS.
- Section 3.1 – removed information about having to attain minimum scores on both the examinable component and the continuous assessment elements, and how the results are then determined.
- Section 3.4.4 – new section added about postponement override.
- Section 3.8.4 – another new section added in about postponement override.
- Section 4.1 – provided updated information on the factors used in determining the overall module result.
- Section 4.2.1 – re-worded information on modules with two summative components of assessment for clarity and added guidance about OCAS scores between 30-39.
- Section 4.5 – additional information added to clarify how example results relate to modules with two components of assessment and for modules with one component of summative assessment.
- Appendix 3 – updated applicable presentations.
