Final withdrawal of pre-2012 qualifications

Warning: the content within this page reflects what was communicated to students in the 2016/17 academic year. As such, this information may no longer be factually accurate.

Many of our named qualifications are ending on 31 December 2017 and have been replaced with restructured qualifications. This means that in order to claim a named qualification, students will need to complete all necessary academic regulations before this date.

If a student is concerned that they can’t complete their qualification, they may be able to migrate their credit to one of our restructured qualifications. However, students should be aware that they might not be able to use all the credit they have accumulated as the regulations for the restructured qualifications are different.

Our restructured qualifications offer a designated route through to help students study in a logical way and to support the development of their study skills as they go along. Our qualification choices tool can be used to find how the credit a student has already achieved can be used towards a new, restructured qualification.

Please talk to your Student Support Team if you need any further information. You can find out how to contact them on Contact the OU.
