Working with Young People qualifications - Qualification withdrawal

The Open University will withdraw the following qualifications on 31 December 2020:

  • Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE) in Working with Young People (W03)
  • Foundation Degree in Working with Young People (X03)

If a student wishes to claim either of these qualifications, they will need to satisfy all necessary academic requirements before they are withdrawn.

Any student intending to continue studying towards this qualification should also note that some compulsory modules within these qualifications will be discontinued earlier than the qualification’s withdrawal date. S

  • Introduction to working with young people in practice (E118) will begin for the final time in October 2017
  • Leading work with young people in practice (E218) will begin for the final time in October 2019

Students must ensure that they successfully complete these modules before they are withdrawn and no longer available to study.
