Faculty configuration change

New faculty configuration

From 1 August 2016, The Open University is changing configuration of its faculties from seven to four: Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS); Faculty of Business and Law (FBL); Faculty of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM); Faculty of Wellbeing, Education and Language Studies (WELS). Management of the Open Programme has now become the responsibility of the Learning, Teaching and Innovation Portfolio, led by Professor Hazel Rymer, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Learning, Teaching and Innovation.

The new configuration will not mean any changes to student courses, but there may be some differences to our websites in the coming months.

This change is just one part of some broader transformations across The Open University, aimed at putting Students First and enabling a more focused and innovative University.
