From October 2016, The Open University will make some changes to the modules available within the BA (Hons) History (Q01).
The Stage 2 module, Exploring history: medieval to modern 1400-1900 (A200), will be available to study for the final time in October 2016 and will be replaced by a new 60-credit module, The British Isles 1789-1914 (A225), which will be available from October 2017. A second Stage 2 module, Early modern Europe: society and culture c.1500-1789 (A223), will also be available from October 2016.
To enrol on Exploring history medieval to modern 1400-1900 (A200) in October 2016, students must successfully complete Stage 1 of the BA (Hons) History (Q01). They will need to study at least one module from A200, A223 and A225 as part of their History degree.
The Stage 3 module, Modern Scottish history (CDDR300) will be available to study for the final time in October 2016. This is a collaborative module offered by the University of Dundee and we cannot confirm at present whether it will be replaced.
To enrol on Modern Scottish history (CDDR300), students must have successfully completed Stage 2 of the BA (Hons) History (Q01). A student on the Scottish History pathway of the BA (Hons) History (Q01) who has not yet completed Modern Scottish history (CDDR300) must either study it in October 2016 or change their study plans.
