Certificate of Higher Education and Diploma of Higher Education Open (K05 and E60) - Relaxation of credit requirements

Warning: the content within this page reflects what was communicated to students in the 2014/15 academic year. As such, this information may no longer be factually accurate.

The Open University has relaxed the requirements needed for students to be awarded a Certificate of Higher Education Open (K05) or Diploma of Higher Education Open (E60).

Students can now achieve these qualifications by completing at least 60 credits at Open University Level 1 (for both qualifications) and at least 60 credits at Open University Level 2 (for the Diploma of Higher Education Open). This allows students to count 60 credits from modules at any other Open University level at Level 1 and Level 2.

There are no changes to the new Diploma of Higher Education Open (W34) or Certificate of Higher Education Open (T09) regulations.

Please talk to your Student Support Team if you need any further information. You can find out how to contact them on Contact the OU.
