Deferral and Withdrawal Policy (March 2015 update)

In March 2015 some changes were made to the Deferral and Withdrawal Policy.
Undergraduate and postgraduate students registering for qualifications and modules from 1 August 2012 (except Research Students) may be affected by these changes.
What has changed?
- Deferral advice you receive must now include the impact of deferral on your fees and financial support and you must confirm intention to defer: paragraphs 3.5.3(b), 4.5.3(b), 5.5.3(b).
- Assessment Banking Rules have been amended to state you must also bank any blank assignment scores: paragraphs 3.5.4(a)(i), 4.5.4(a)(i), 5.5.4(a)(i).
- Amendments added to clarify that if you defer to an alternative module you will need to start it from the beginning: paragraphs 3.5.4(a)(iii), 4.5.4(a)(iii), 5.5.4(a)(iii).
- Cut-off date for registering or enrolling to resume a module you deferred with assessment banking has been extended: paragraphs 3.5.5(b), 4.5.5(b), 5.5.5(b).
- Additional information added about restrictions around the availability of fee credit if you return to an alternative module: paragraphs 3.5.5(f), 4.5.5(e), 5.5.5(e).
- Miscellaneous consequential changes and amendments for clarification and to correct errors.
