Togetherall 24/7 free, confidential online mental health support

Counselling for students in Scotland

Funding from the Scottish Government has enabled the OU to offer ‘live therapy’ for both undergraduate and postgraduate students living in Scotland delivered by Togetherall.

What is live therapy?

Live therapy is an online direct therapy service providing the same number of sessions and quality of treatment as face-to-face therapy. Sessions are delivered by any combination of text, audio and webcam, based on your preferences, by a team of remote UK-based accredited counsellors.

You'll be offered an initial triage session by a trained professional at Togetherall to determine your needs, followed by up to six therapy sessions. Sessions are available from 7am-11pm, 7 days a week.

If you are experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues you may be eligible to use the service.

To be eligible for live therapy counselling with Togetherall you need to:

  • be resident in Scotland
  • be over 18
  • be registered on a module
  • not be currently receiving (or soon about to receive) counselling elsewhere
  • be registered with a GP
  • have suitable IT equipment and a fast, reliable internet connection
  • be able to commit to weekly sessions
  • have a private space during counselling sessions

How to apply for live therapy
